Research WEDNESDAY!!

Hi Class,

Well, we certainly got alot of research done today. I was also able to copy some of your illustration choices for you after school, so we are really moving in the right direction. Way to go!!

Here is your homework update:

1) Make sure you've gone over your "Multiples and Factors" math work from Tuesday again, as we will definitely take it up tomorrow.

2) January Yearbook pages are due tomorrow and after you left today, I realized you could have taken home your MOST WANTED POSTERS and put them in for January. I'll give them to you tomorrow and you can add them in for January or you could use them for February.

3) Don't forget to refer to your "Pictures/Maps/..." Rubric when you work on your illustrations and captions and maps, etc. for your research. You could also be working your title page too! Remember the research reading and writing is an at school activity only right now.

4) Many of you have your Speeches already done! Way to go!

5) I know it's a very busy month coming up - February - so we will take a break from Spelling so you can focus on completing all the other work you have coming up - Busy! Busy! Busy!

One step at a time...

We can do it, if we support each other!

Hi Class,

This is a little late in coming. Some of you are probably already gone to bed, but as long as you are using your Planner effectively and copying everything off the Planning Board, you should be on top of your BUSY GRADE 6 WORK!!

Good to be BACK!!!

Hi Class,

Well, I was really pleased to hear that so many of you have written your speeches or are in the process of writing them. There is going to be alot of work to do over the next 5 weeks, so make sure you keep on top of your work, or better yet, work ahead!!

Here's your homework update:

1) Complete your "Multiples and Divisibility Rules" sheet for math for tomorrow.

2) Practise your 2x and 3x tables at home all week.

3) Your January Yearbooks are due Thursday!!

4) Start drawing pictures, charts, etc. for your Research Projects. You can work on that at home, but you have to do your researching at school.

5) Tomorrow is the last call for BOOK ORDERS, for those who are interested.

Forward to Seeing You All!!

Hi Class,

My apologies for not blogging lately, but as you know I've been off sick. I hear that some other people in our class have been sick too. I guess there are some unfriendly "microscopic microbes" going around in our class and our school.

Well, although I'm still not quite 100 %, I am coming back to school tomorrow, Monday! Can't wait to see you all. Ms. Carter has told me that you have been working hard on your Research and 3-D Geometry, so I'm looking forward to finding out what you've done in my absence.

I do hope you've been working on your SPEECHES!! All the information was outlined in your class newsletter for you and your parents to use at home, as this is a home assignment.

I guess that's all I'll say for now...

Until tomorrow ...

Mrs. A.

Snow DAZE ... Homework CRAZE!

Hi Class,

Well, my two blogs from yesterday were finally able to go through. New technology is definitely meant to be helpful, but sometimes it doesn't always work. Anyway, it looks like it's back on track today.

As far as "Snow DAZE ... Homework CRAZE!", well ... on Monday we were supposed to have a lot of time to work on our Atlas Work and your Energy Summary Report. Unfortunately, some time was lost, so I was pleased to see that most people were able to complete it for homework last night. Hopefully, we're back on track with that again, but remember, there are only about 6 to 7 weeks left before the second report cards are being put together. Really try to keep on top of your work! Don't let things slip! YOU CAN DO IT!!! That includes using your PLANNER effectively and making sure all your work is completed on TIME and with CARE!!!

Here's your update for tonight:

1) The 2-D Geometry Assessment / Test that was scheduled on your calendar before the Holiday Break will be tomorrow. Review those geometry terms as they will help you identify the names of polygons and solve the 2-D geometry riddles on the test.

2) Tomorrow is the last day to bring in your READ-A-THON permission forms.

3) Don't forget to bring in your Class Newsletter "cut off" about our upcoming trip plans.

4) I can't remember exactly what it says on the homework board, but I know you have some French to do as well.

5) You never know when the DESK FAIRY may arrive again, so use any "precious moments" you have to keep your work space organized!!!!

See you tomorrow,

Mrs. A.

Let it SNOW!!!

Hi Class,

Although the driving was treacherous after my school meeting last night, I was still happy to see it. Christmas just wasn't the same without it.

Here's my official "WELCOME BACK" and "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!"

And, now...here's today's homework update:

1) Complete the first 3 pages (both sides) of your MATH MIRA WORK.

2) Don't forget, December Yearbooks are due Friday!

3) Don't leave next week's Spelling till the night before! Get a head start and do a little bit every night.

4) Your good copy of your SETTING SNIPPET is due Friday too. Most of you have it done already, so it won't take you long to finish it up. We'll try to find some time to do the Art Work to go with it as soon as possible.

5) Be sure to dress warmly for this cold weather!!

See you tomorrow,

Mrs. A.
